Verizon Galaxy Nexus Gets Preview for AOKP Jelly Bean Build
If you’ve been patiently waiting for the Android Open Kang Project team to release a Jelly Bean incorporated build for your Galaxy Nexus device, then you’re in luck. You can now scoop up a “preview build” that offers up all of the sweetness of Android 4.1 and some added AOKP gems.
Judging from the preview build it looks like AOKP has just started to add on their infamous customizations. With this particular build you can have toggles in the pull down menu, clock and battery mods, and those awesome AOKP custom wallpapers.
For anyone feeling brave about flashing check out our guidelines below before you get started:
- Make sure your device is rooted and running a custom recovery
- Download each of the files linked below and place them on your phone’s storage
- Reboot into recovery, then wipe your data/cache
- Once done cleaning, install the preview build, then the Gapps
- Reboot and enjoy
Is this from pre-rooted? Will I be able to flash back to stock ICS if I choose to do so? Am I correct in saying Jellybean has unified search removed?
Thanks in advance =)
