How to Unroot the Pantech Burst
Are you tired of playing with custom ROMs and Root-only apps on your Pantech Burst and want to go back to the stock firmware? Well, no problem. It is easy to unroot your smartphone using a few Command Prompt commands, at the end, you will have a device running on the fresh stock firmware with no kind of modifications. Here’s how you can unroot your Pantech Burst smartphone.
I. Before You Begin:
1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.
2. You must have installed ClockworkMod Recovery on your device. See our guide on how to install ClockworkMod Recovery on the Pantech Burst.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Stock Firmware (Download link’s given in the fourth post)
III. Unrooting the Pantech Burst:
1. Download the Stock Firmware ZIP file to the Desktop of your PC.
2. Extract files from the Stock Firmware archive to your Desktop.
3. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.
4. Copy all the files you extracted from the archive to your device’s /sdcard/external_sd/clockworkmod/backup/ folder.
5. Disconnect your device from the PC after you have copied all the files.
6. Turn OFF your device using the Power button.
7. Reboot your device into the CWM Recovery Mode. To do so, while your phone is turned OFF, press and hold Volume DOWN+Power buttons together.
8. From the Recovery Menu, choose Backup and Restore>>Restore and select the backup file to be restored.
9. Once the backup has been restored on your device, come back to the main recovery menu.
10. Choose Wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition and Wipe Dalvick Cache options.
11. Select Reboot system now from the Main Menu of the Recovery.
Well done ! You have successfully unrooted your Burst smartphone. The warranty that you lost after rooting your phone has now been restored.

Hey! I was just wondering, before i finish and do a factory reset, does that affect my apps as well? The main reason i rooted my phone was to get freedom, and thats free in-app purchases so if i lose that this whole adventure would be worthless.
