How to Unroot the Huawei Ideos U8150

If you’re looking to get your phone back to stock, to unroot it and get the original recovery back, then you’ve come to the right place. We’ve gathered all the things you need to unroot your Huawei Ideos U8150 smartphone in the following procedure, follow all the steps carefully and get your device back to stock. The unrooting process basically involves installing stock firmware, it removes all the SU binaries and makes your phone unrooted.

I. Before You Begin:

1. You should have rooted your device using the guide given here.

2. Make sure your device has 60% of the battery life left. It may cause problems if the battery level is less than this.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Stock ROM (Download link’s given in the first post, in the first step)

III. Unrooting the Huawei Ideos U8150:

1. Download and place the Stock ROM file onto your Desktop.

2. Unzip the UPDATE.APP file from the Stock ROM archive to your Desktop.

3. Connect the smartphone to your PC using the USB cable.

4. Using Windows Explorer, create a new folder named dload on the SD card of your device.

5. Copy the UPDATE.APP file over to the dload folder on your SD card. It’s the folder you created in the above step.

6. Unplug the device after you have copied the file.

7. Turn OFF your device.

8. While your device is turned OFF, press and hold the Volume UP+RED+Power buttons together.

9. The update process should automatically begin and a bar will be shown on your screen.

10. When it’s done, simply reboot your device if it doesn’t reboot automatically.

Great! You just flashed the Stock ROM on your Huawei Ideos U8150, it has brought all the default settings back. The SU binaries have been erased, that means you are no longer rooted!
