How to Unroot the Huawei U8120

If you want to completely unroot your device, you should flash the stock ROM file on it. It’s actually the stock firmware, containing all the stock files, features, apps, etc and once you flash it on your device, you’ll have all these things running on your device. Following guide has all the steps you should follow to unroot, or in other words, flash stock ROM on your Huawei U8120.

I. Before You Begin:

1. You should have rooted your device using the guide given here.

2. You must have your SD card formatted in FAT32 filesystem.

3. Make sure your device has at least 60% of battery life left. It is to ensure an uninterrupted process.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Stock ROM (Download link’s given in the first post)

III. Unrooting the Huawei U8120:

1. Place the Stock ROM archive on your Desktop.

2. Extract the archive to your Desktop and you will get a folder named dload.

3. Connect your smartphone to your PC using the USB cable.

4. Copy the dload folder from your Desktop over to the root folder of your device’s SD card. It won’t work if you copy it somewhere else.

5. Disconnect the smartphone from your PC after the file has been copied.

6. Turn OFF your smartphone.

7. While your device is turned OFF, press and hold the Volume UP+Red+Power buttons together.

8. It should flash the Stock ROM on your device, you should see the progress bar on your screen.

9. Reboot your device after the flashing is done.

10. You’re done now!

Your device is now completely back to stock!

    1. Did you successfully download the file and followed all the steps carefully?

      Sometimes, because of a corrupted download, the update process doesn’t go well and you may get errors.

      I suggest doing the procedure once again, it should work fine for you!
