How to Root the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (T-Mobile)

Whenever a Samsung device gets launched, the famous ChainFire brings a root method for the device and most of the times, the root method is an easy Odin flashable file. The T-Mobile variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has got this root method and according to the users, it just works fine and doesn’t take more than a few minutes to finish. A rooted device will have more advantages over an unrooted one and if you’ve made your mind to go crazy with your device, follow our guide below and you should end up with a rooted phone.

I. Before You Begin:

1. This will void the warranty. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting the device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.

2. Your device needs to have at least 60% of battery life left to ensure an uninterrupted process.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Odin (It’s attached in the second post)

2. CF-Root (Download link’s given in the third post)

III. Rooting the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (T-Mobile):

1. Place both the files you downloaded to your Desktop.

2. Extract files from both the archives to your Desktop.

3. Double-click on the Odin executable file and it should launch.

4. In the Odin, click on PDA and select the CF-Root file you just extracted to the Desktop.

5. Checkmark the boxes labeled as Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time.

6. Make sure that the Repartition box is NOT checked in the Odin.

7. Turn OFF your device.

8 . Reboot the device into Download mode. To achieve this, press and hold the Volume DOWN+Home+Power buttons together.

9. Once in download mode, connect the device to your PC via USB cable.

10. One of the boxes in Odin should turn Yellow and that indicates your device has been recognized by the tool.

11. Hit the Start button and let it do rest of the process.

12. You’re done!

Brilliant! The CF-Root has been successfully flashed on the device and when it boots up, you’ll be able to see the Superuser app in your App Drawer. It indicates that your device is rooted and can have root-only apps!
