Guess you don’t have your bootloader unlocked. Do it first and then come back and do the procedure. It should work fine then.
i fixed at http://www.motorola.com/unlockbootloader for anyone who didnt know that motorola was so open to these kind of things 🙂 you do have to know how to use fastboot and you will also void your motorola warranty
I did everything, but when i try to reboot the phone to bootloader it reboots, but all i get is a image of a lying droid with an red exclamation simble… what could be the problem?
rename the install-recovery.sh in system/etc folder to something like install-recovery.sh.bak and try Victor!
Thank you, you really helped me with this. =)
no problem, Victor!
I have the same problem as Victor, but that didn’t help me. I still get the same error screen..
the phone gives me the error mm # 6 and does not connect to the network, help me please.
Hello Juan:
MM6 is an error associated with your network provider. Contact them and they should help you out!
Says INFOFailed to flash partition recovery
FAILED (remote Failure)
Are you sure your phone’s properly connected to your PC? Seems your connection isn’t recognized. Please check and let us know. Thanks!
Glad you did it!
