How to Unroot the Sony Xperia U
Messing up with your Android Device is not a big deal as everybody just goes through this phase in their life while owning an Android Device. Maybe your phone’s acting weird and there’s no way left than to take it to the service center, sure do that but first unroot the device. Unrooting will restore the warranty of your device hence you won’t have any issues presenting the device at the service center. In this guide, we’ll talk you through steps on how you can unroot your Sony Xperia U smartphone. Follow the guide and you will end up with an unrooted device.
I. Before You Begin:
1. You must have rooted your device using the procedure given here. If you used any other method to root your device, then the following procedure may or may not work for you.
2. This works on Windows based PCs only.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Root Package (Download link’s given in the first post)
III. Unrooting the Sony Xperia U:
1. Download and place the Root Package archive onto your Desktop.
2. Extract files from the archive to your Desktop.
3. Enable the USB debugging option on your device by going to Menu>>Settings>>Developer options>>USB debugging.
4. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.
5. Double-click on the RunMe.bat file you extracted from the Root Package to your Desktop.
6. Select Unroot option in the tool.
7. It’ll start unrooting your device, may take a while so be patient.
8. Once it’s done, reboot your device.
9. And you’re all done!
Wonderful! Your Xperia U has been successfully unrooted and you shouldn’t see Superuser app any longer in the App Drawer. You might want to remove all the root-only apps as they’re nothing than just icons now!
