How to Root the O+ 8.5
O+ (O-Plus) is quite a new name in the Android smartphones industry and it’s slowly putting its steps into the market by launching a new Android device, called O+ 8.5. Although being a new manufacturer of Android devices, the company has managed to get the Android ICS up and running on its new device and apparently the users would be happy as they would be able to use ICS and not that Gingerbread that they get to see on every budget device out there. You may have doubts whether this device will ever get root access, but to your surprise, it has already gotten a root method! You already know the power of root and since the device’s rootable, you should be able to use it at its fullest without any limitations. This guide shows how you can root your O+ 8.5 smartphone, come along and root your device!
I. Before You Begin:
1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting the device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.
2. This procedure works on Windows based PCs only.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Root Package
III. Rooting the O+ 8.5:
1. Download and place the Root Package archive onto your Desktop.
2. Extract files from the archive to your Desktop.
3. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.
4. Pull the notification bar on your device and enable USB Storage function.
5. Now open My Computer on your PC and double-click on your device’s storage.
6. Go to the Internal Storage directory.
7. Create a new folder on the root of your Internal Storage and name it data. If it’s already there, jump to the next step.
8. Double-click on the data folder and then inside that, create a new folder and name it local.
9. Inside local folder, create a new folder and name it tmp.
10. Now open the folder named Root-without-unlock you have on your Desktop.
11. Copy the su and superuser.apk files over to the tmp folder you created in step-9.
12. Once the files are copied, unplug your device from your PC.
13. Turn ON the USB debugging option on your device by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Developer options>>USB debugging.
14. Now connect your device to your PC once again.
15. Open the folder named Root haipad 19220 you have on your Desktop.
16. Inside the folder, you should see a file named root.bat. Double-click on it.
17. It should start rooting your device.
18. Your device should reboot several times during the root process.
19. Once the rooting’s done, unplug your device from your PC.
20. And you’re all set!
Excellent! Your device has been successfully rooted and now has the Superuser app in the App Drawer. Now go ahead and install all your favorite root-only apps on your device!

enable first your USB DEBUGGING when using adb.
or you may Try this option “PDANET” to install your driver.

I have question, why does from the “root.bat” it says ‘adb’ not found something like that. Is that okay?

You have to have a computer to root your device. There’s no method that can root this device without a computer.
