Rumored Amazon Smartphone to Sport 4.7 Inch Display and Expected Q2 Release
This wouldn’t be the first time we heard of a rumored Amazon branded smartphone and now the latest speculation comes to us from a DigiTimes report. The site reported that an Amazon smartphone will launch with a 4.7-inch display and is pegged to launch sometime during Q2 of this year according to industry supply chain sources.
“The company was previously considering a 4.3-inch screen but later scrapped the idea after witnessing increased demand for larger size screens among consumers”, said the sources.
They continued to explain that while Amazon is hoping for a second-quarter launch for the device, it may not be able to release on time, as production progress at its manufacturing partner, Foxconn, “has not been as smooth as expected”.
