How to Root the Kyocera Milano

Maybe you’ve just picked up a brand new Kyocera Milano but have no clue where to get started with it? Well, it happens with everybody when they buy a new Android device. First of all, root your device as it’ll let you install root-only apps and eventually a custom recovery, if available. Rooting procedure’s quite easy to follow and this guide makes it extremely easy for you, so go ahead and root your Kyocera Milano.

I. Before You Begin:

1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.

2. This works on Windows based PCs only.

3. You should have Android ADB installed on your PC. See this guide to learn how to do so.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Root Package (Download link’s given at the bottom of the first post)

III. Rooting the Kyocera Milano:

1. Download and place the Root Package archive onto your Desktop.

2. Unzip files from the archive over to your Desktop. Do NOT run any files just yet.

3. Turn ON the USB debugging function on your device by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging.

4. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.

5. Double-click on the GenericZergRushRoot.bat file you extracted earlier to your Desktop.

6. It’ll start rooting your device.

7. And you should be rooted now!

Congrats! Your device’s been successfully rooted and you can confirm the same by downloading the Root Checker app!

  1. Worked! Thankfully I had an old install of PDANet from my previous phone, which got the USB Drivers set up. Thanks!
