Sony Confirms Jelly Bean Android 4.1 rollout for Xperia P, Xperia go and Xperia E dual, Starts This Week
Being a Sony user hasn’t been easy especially when it comes to waiting around for an Android update. Well, we know there are a fair share of disheartened Xperia P owners out there, but it looks like your wait is almost over. This piece of good news is also aimed at any Xperia go and Xperia E Dual users as well.
According to the Sony blog, the Android 4.1 update is ready to rollout and will provide new enhancements like an updated version of WALKMAN, Album, and movies. Additional perks include an option to extend your battery life with the new “Battery STAMINA Mode,” a customizable launcher, and new home screens. Doesn’t make up for the long wait, but hey, we’ll take what we can get.
Sony pledges that the update is scheduled to start hitting devices this week and will “ramp up over this month and next.” Meanwhile, Xperia S, SL, acro S, and ion should expect their Android 4.1 updates to begin near the end of May.
