Acer beTouch E140 Android phone announced for the UK
With a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen and a 600MHz processor, the Acer beTouch E140 may not be the most coveted tool on the shelf, but if it’s a startup Droid you are looking for, this is it. There’s also a 3.2mpx lens, WiFi, HSDPA network support, Bluetooth, FM radio and GPS and up to 32GB microSD expansion with Android 2.2 under the hood, so you won’t really be getting too low end when it comes to features. The smartphone has now been announced for the UK market and although no price accompanied this news piece, expect it to be priced at £150 unlocked or go free with a pay-as-you-go monthly plan.
The Acer beTouch 140 was already announced for Italy and with UK now conquered, it will only be a matter of time before the device is available in other countries across Europe.
