Acer Confirms Rumors of Quad-Core Tablet for 2012: Company Remains Aggressive on Tablet Front
Rumors have been flying high lately surrounding an unnamed NVIDIA Tegra-3 quad-core tablet that Acer has under wraps. In a surprising statement, Acer President Jim Wong actually confirmed the recent rumors and put the speculation to rest. Wong stated that the company does indeed have plans to unleash a quad-core tablet to the consumer market in 2012. Unfortunately what Wong left out was all of the dirty details that we’re now dying to know about the slab.
As far as Acer’s perspective on the exploding tablet market, Wong also mentioned that the company plans to remain “very aggressive on the tablet front”. If Acer wants to get aggressive and throw a quad-core tablet into the mix, we’ll sure stick around to see what that ends up looking like.
Watch out Transformer Prime, looks like you won’t be the new kid on the Tegra-3 block for very long.
