How to Add Live Weather Wallpapers to Your iOS 7 Device (Video)

This tweak can easily be used to define “pleasantly surprised.” Forecast displays current weather and forecasts to your lock screen, and changes your wallpaper on both lock screen and home screen to an animated representation of the weather at your current location. And the animations look great, too! Forecast is well worth $0.99 and is incredibly easy to use; it’s almost as if Apple made this tweak themselves!

I. Jailbreak your iPhone/iPad

To do this procedure you must be jailbroken. If you aren’t, you can head to our Jailbreak How To’s section and pick the jailbreak for your version of iOS (currently at the time of writing this is 7.0.4). Once done with that procedure and you have Cydia installed, head back here to continue.

II. Install Forecast

1. Open Cydia.

2. Tap Search in the bottom right corner.

3. Type in Forecast.

4. Tap on Forecast when it shows up.

5. Tap Purchase at the top right and follow the prompts to login and purchase using your preferred method.

6. Tap Close when you’ve paid.

7. Tap Install where Purchase used to be.

8. Tap Confirm

9. Tap Restart.

III. Configure Forecast

1. Upon restarting your phone, Forecast will actually display current weather and forecasts on your lock screen automatically before you can even configure it.

• Swipe right to check out the forecasts of your location.

2. Swipe left to access the default lock screen, and unlock your phone.

3. Tap Settings

4. Scroll down and tap on Forecast.

5. Tap the switcher to enable/disable any options.
