Affordable HTC Explorer Android phone heading to UK on Oct 31
Dubbed HTC “most affordable phone yet,” the Explorer is all set to make its mark on English soil. The device has been picked up by Vodafone and Three – both providers will be offering the device for free on contract, but if an untethered phone is more to your liking, you can pick it up at £192 ($297 in local green).
We have already seen its modest spec sheet when it came across our desk as the HTC Pico but for those tuning in late, just know that the Explorer features a 600MHz processor, 348MB RAM, a 5MP camera and a smallish 3.2-inch HVGA display. Underneath Sense UI 3.5, you will find Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which should be the appealing factor for many budget-minded buyers.
The device is scheduled for a Halloween release on both Vodafone and Three, but you can also reserve your unlocked version currently on Clove to get a headstart on others.
