Android 4.0.1 OS images for the Galaxy Nexus now available for download
For those awry times when something goes wrong trying to flash that CM9 or another custom build of your choosing, it’s always good to have a backup ready to bring the device back to life. One of these ways is to always have a factory image of the firmware ready so things can be normalized and started fresh. This fallback is now available for the GSM/HSPA+ versions of the Galaxy Nexus, so you can go ahead and try that new overclocked kernel or that shiny new custom ROM from your favorite dev, knowing that with these Android 4.0.1 images, you can put everything back in order if you mess something up.
The images can be downloaded here, but know that they come with a stern warning that if you don’t know what you are doing, you better not do it.
