Android App of the Day: Sincerely Ink Cards
As Mother’s Day approaches I thought it would be helpful to take a closer look at a few of the card sending apps that the Google Play Store has to offer. With the ever-present convenience of e-mail, e-cards, and text messages it’s rare to actually receive a real card in the mail these days. You know, the undeniable joy of receiving something else other than a bill or the weekly coupon clipper. I for one still enjoy selecting and sending the perfect card, and of course, receiving them too. Hand-picking a card from the store, personalizing it and getting postage for it all in time for someone’s special occasion may seem easy enough, but for many people the task is daunting and they end up just sending a text message “Happy Birthday Sam”. Well now with the Sincerely Ink Cards app for Android you can still send all your distant relatives a Christmas card without ever having to visit a Hallmark store again.

- Cost of card includes postage, prices are reasonable
Cons:
- Card selection gets limited if you use the app frequently
- App sometimes crashes in the middle of card customization
How it works:
The concept behind Sincerely Ink Cards is genius. The app enables to create customized greeting cards and send them in the mail directly to your friends and family. All of this can be done right from the convenience of your Android device. Downloading the app is simple and within minutes you can browse through cards for any occasion like Birthdays, Christmas, Weddings, Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day. To start building your card open the app, select a category, design your card and then Sincerely Ink will print and send the printed card to your chosen recipient. There are 7 different categories offering approximately 70 card designs to choose from.
If you wondering about the cards, they are impressive. After downloading the app I sent a few cards to friends who live out-of-state and sent one to myself. The cards are printed on heavyweight 5×7 matte postcards and the quality is equal to what you would find in the store. Sincerely Ink guarantees delivery to the US, UK, Europe and Canada in less than 7 days. Anywhere outside of these areas and the card could take anywhere from 2-3 weeks for delivery. When it comes to cost Sincerely Ink cards cost $1.99 for the US and $2.99 for everywhere outside of the US. The best part is that postage is included in this price. I can’t complain about the price, as I usually end up spending close to $6 for a card before postage.
Conclusion:
The convenience of Sincerely Ink is what sells me on this app every time I use it. I really appreciate that I can select a card, add a photo, personalize the message and send it to a loved one all from my Android device. The interface is well designed and has a sleek look to it making it fun to use. The best part is that the card prices are completely reasonable and I have only received positive feedback from anyone I have sent a Sincerely Ink card to. The only thing I hope to see improve about this app is the addition of more card designs. You can never go wrong with additional options when it comes to searching or creating the perfect card. Overall I truly enjoy the Sincerely Ink app and recommend it to anyone in need of sending a card without having the hassle of going to the store.
