AT&T announces the Pantech Flex with ‘Easy Experience’ Mode
Available starting September 16th from AT&T for a meager $49.99, the Pantech Flex does not come up short on its spec list. The 4.3-inch 960×540 AMOLED touchscreen display, 8MP camera, and the 1.5GHz dual-core CPU to run Android 4.0 smoothly should put it right in the middle of other mid-tier devices but there is something that sets this device apart from the competition – the ‘Easy Experience’ Mode.
The Easy Experience mode takes away all the clutter of app shortcuts and widgets that you would usually have on your homescreens and replaces it with a simple screen that displays the most important aspects of your phone as large, finger-friendly buttons. This would be perfect for a new Android user, enabling him/her to move from something simple to the expansive ICS 4.0 user interface. For the more seasoned user, this would offer a break from all the launchers that are installed on the device.
The Pantech Flex will be available on AT&T’s website starting September 16th and if you are okay with the two-year agreement that accompanies the $49.99 price tag, be sure to check it out!
