AT&T Catches Up and Adds BlackBerry Bold 9900, Curve 9360, Torch 9860 to Lineup
AT&T announced today that they will be adding three additional BlackBerry handsets to their device lineup. The US carrier decided it will feature the Bold 9900 for $200 on November 6th. The smartphone features a 2.8-inch, 640×480 touchscreen, a 1.2GHz Snapdragon chip, and 720p video, in addition to a larger keyboard. If $200 is a little high for your budget, AT&T plans to launch the Torch 9860 on the same day. The Torch 9860 will be set at a more affordable price of $100.
The entry level Curve 9360 will launch shortly after on November 20th for the budget friendly price of $30 on contract. However, corporate and government users can snag the Curve 9360 earlier on November 14th.The Curve 9360 sports a 2.44-inch, 480×360 screen, an 800MHz processor, and a five-megapixel camera with VGA video recording.
Oddly enough, we’re not sure how successful the BlackBerry devices will be, as AT&T also plans to launch its HTC Vigor, and the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket during the same time frame. With the holiday shopping season knocking down our door, at least AT&T users will have plenty of handset options to choose from.
