BBC iPlayer Now Available for Windows Phone 8

Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore took to Twitter to announce that the BBC iPlayer would be headed to Windows Phone 8, and it looks like that day has finally arrived. For those of you who have been waiting around for this, the delay was a result of BBC’s and Microsoft’s conflicting technologies. The version available is a browser-based shortcut but we’re sure our British Windows Phone users won’t mind. Just in case you’re unfamiliar with the service, we’ve also got a feature list for you here:

Features include:

  • Watch and listen to BBC TV and radio programs from the last 7 days on BBC iPlayer.
  • On demand content over Wi-Fi and 3G.
  • Add shows to your favorites so new episodes are quick to find for you to enjoy later.
  • Ability to listen to BBC Radio in the background.
  • Browse programs by category, schedule, featured and most popular.

So, what are you waiting for? Get your download on here.
