Blackberry PlayBook Gets AT&T Bridging, Limited Web
Starting today at 12PM Eastern time, AT&T will enable the necessary Bridge app for the BlackBerry PlayBook.
Users will be able to access the Bridge app on a BlackBerry smartphone and tether to the PlayBook to supply the tablet with e-mail, contacts, and calendars. For those interested in web access, the $45 4GB data plan is necessary as it is considered tethering by AT&T.
Many PlayBook users need bridging support as the device did not have native e-mail, calendar, and other features that bridging now enables.
