How to Change Your Battery Icon in iOS 7 (Video)

In the world of theming for iOS 7, nothing is sacred, not even your status bar and the battery icon. While most theming tweaks in iOS 7 allow you to change pretty much every aspect of the OS, the major ones (like Springtomize, for example) don’t allow you to change the icons in the status bar, while others (like Winterboard) require you to change the entire theme across the device usually. Thanks to a clever jailbreak tweak called Alkaline you can now change just the battery icon by itself in a quick and extremely easy way. All you have to do is download the tweak, download some themes, and switch between them to your heart’s content. Here’s a quick walkthrough of how to install Alkaline and how to find some themes to try out.

I. Jailbreak your iPhone/iPad

1. To do this procedure you must be jailbroken. If you aren’t, you can head to our How to Jailbreak iOS 7.0.6 (the latest version at the time of writing this). Once done with that procedure and you have Cydia installed, head back here to continue.
