Could This Be the Real Samsung Galaxy 4? S Pen-like Finger Hover Feature Shows Off
Unlike most other smartphone launches, Samsung has a way of keeping their big devices under lock and key until the actual release. We’ve only seen a few solid leaks for the upcoming Galaxy 4 and this latest set of images looks as close as we’re going to get to the real deal. With only a few hours before the Galaxy 4 is unveiled, we thought we would entertain this last minute leak while we wait for Unpacked to kick off.
The Chinese site it168 released a series of photos that depict a handset that looks very close to last year’s Galaxy S3 with a few slight changes. The handset pictured below has textured finishes, a gem-like home button, and a beautifully vibrant display (possibly 1080p Super AMOLED). Other noticeable changes include the large centered camera and flash (possibly 13MP), lower speaker, and a silver band wrapping the sides of the device.
If the Chinese site is to be believed, they have the Galaxy 4 running on an Exynos 5410 Octa processor clocked at 1.8GHz with PowerVR SGX 544MP3 GPU. This is the GT-I9502 (same as previous leak), weighs 138g, measures 7.7mm thick, includes 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage with a microSD slot and is powered by a 2600mAh battery.
Outside of the subtle changes and specs this device also has an S Pen-like feature similar to the Galaxy Note 2, although you don’t have to use an actual S Pen. This tech requires you to use your finger to hover close to the display without having to touch it. Judging from the images it looks to work exactly the same way the S Pen works, just using your finger in a hovering fashion as a substitute.
So, what do you think? If this is indeed the Galaxy 4 is this what you’ve been waiting for? Tell us what you think in the comments below.
