CyanogenMod 10.1 RC4 Update Released: Corrects Math Calculation Bug
CyanogenMod released a minor update to CM10.1 that bumps the software to Rc3. The update address a math calculation bug that was causing heart palpitations for some users. Due to changes made to the way the software handled complex math calculations, several devices had issues when the system needed to calculate and display numbers. What was happening as a result was outrageous data usage counters. Some devices were even showing 100GB of data used over night. Apparently the bug was providing exponentially incorrect results when counting on any device with a chipset other than those the new code was tested on.
So, rest assured your smartphone isn’t eating up 100GB of data in the dark hours of night. Thankfully, the CM team has addressed the issue with their update. Interested readers can grab the update here.
When I upgraded to this, I could no longer send mms, only receive. Had to go back to 10.1-20130411-experimental-d2att-m3 as it’s the only version that works well on my devide which is the ATT Galaxy S3 I747. Any help would be awesome. Thanks
The reason for this is they increased default mms size, which I assume also messes with resize. The issue is mist carries don’t allow infinite mms size, cyanogenmod seems to be refusing to add a mms max size option to allow us to choose.
