CyanogenMod 9 brings Android 4.0 to the Samsung Nexus S
The Nexus S is next in line only to the famed Galaxy Nexus but does that mean you shouldn’t get some custom ROM action on the side until then? Hell no, according to Koush, of the CyanogenMod Team who has just busted out a ROM based on the Ice-Cream Sandwich update, dubbed CM9 which we assume will be the name for all builds based on ICS for other devices too.
The build, available now for any Nexus S owner to flash, has little that isn’t working even though it is still in its alpha stage if you can stand to ignore a slight glitch when playing videos and problems with the MMS component of messaging.
Head over to the XDA thread to keep yourself abreast on the development and if you dare to, try installing the ROM on your Nexus S!
