CyanogenMod 9 Music app available to be installed on any Android 4.0 device
Custom ICS ROMs are slowly putting in an appearance for a myriad of devices as the days progress but we are yet to see an Android 4.0 ROM from the famed dev group, CyanogenMod. While that may be so, we could still have a little slice of that heaven before it releases eventually – the app that will appear on future CM9 (which is the number for 4.0 ROMs by the team) builds is ready to be used by anyone with a device running Ice-Cream Sandwich already.
The app, worked on by Andrew Neal, is currently in the beta phase but is ready to be installed but with a snag here and there. As of now, the app fails to connect to the Google Music cloud service, but the list of what it can do is pretty impressive – the app can do party shuffles, set ringtones, customize playlists, and respond to shakes and flips to, say, change a track, add custom widgets and controls in the notification area, the list goes on.You can download the app or wait for the developer to list it on the Android Market or come bundled with the CyanogenMod 9 ROM very soon, but if you do decide to download it and think of a clever name for it, be sure to tell the dev here as he is still looking for one.
