How to Enable Auto Correct on the Samsung Galaxy S4 (Video)

Auto correct on most devices will automatically replace words as you type with the words it thinks you are trying to get out. While this may not always be a good thing, to a lot of people, it’s quite handy and they’ve become pretty used to it. The Samsung Galaxy S4 for some reason ships without this featured enabled and it isn’t terribly apparent as to how to get it to work. One of our writers showed you how to solve this by simply installing a new keyboard (which has other benefits and might be a good way to go), but there is also a way to enable auto correct in the settings of the Galaxy S4 that a reader suggested over in the comments on the other procedure.

Here’s a quick video I did of this simple settings change.

I. Enable Auto-Correct on the Samsung Galaxy S4

1. Pull down the notification shade down.

2. Tap the gear in the top right corner.

3. Tap on My Device.

4. Tap Language and Input.

5. Turn on Predictive Text.

6. Turn on Auto Replacement.

7. Tap Predictive Text.

8. Tap Clear Personal Data to ensure it removes any mistakes you’ve made.

Enjoy!
