Facebook Launches Messenger App For Android And iPhone

Facebook has really set the focus on their chat feature as they unveiled a separate messenger app today. The app called Facebook Messenger will be available for both Android devices and iPhones.

So what exactly does the app let you do? Users can now instantly send messages directly to individual friends or groups. Additionally, users will be able to share their location and attach photos to messages. Overall the app features appear to be rather simple and straight to the point, which is apparently how Facebook intended the experience to be.

The Facebook Messenger app is said to be rolling out later today for the Android Market and the Apple App Store. As we don’t see the app available just yet, be sure and let us know how you like it once it goes live.
