Motorola Announces G7, G7 Plus, G7 Power, & G7 Play Specs, Pricing, & Availability
Motorola announced today that the newest phones in their budget G series, the new G7 family.
We have four new devices in total (each with its unique angle), all within the $200-$300 range. Perosnally, I’ve always thought that the G and E series for Motorola are their best series. They’re pure Android, slick looking, have impressive specs, performance and battery life for the price (I still secretly want them to use this model to make a sick flagship, but we have to wait for the dumb MotoMod series to die first, I guess).
Regardless, here is the quick rundown of the specs, pricing, and availability for anyone interested.
Motorola G7
The Moto g7 is the top model coming to the States. Dual cameras, teardrop notch, rear fingerprint sensor, etc. for $299. Check out the photos and specs below.

Moto G7 Power
The g7 Power is all about the battery (go figure). Specs-wise it sort of sits between the g7 and the g7 play, but it packs a 5000mah battery (compared to their 3000mah). And price-wise, it’s precisely in the middle of the two, as well.

The g7 Play is the lowest-end budget model. But, let’s be clear, it’s still not too shabby for $200. Check it out.

Moto G7 Plus
So the g7 Plus isn’t coming to the States, but it seems to be their higher end of this budget line up. The move to not bring it here makes sense to me since the US is basically about high-end and low-end, not really mid-tier. Thanks to subsidies from the carriers we either go for the top model expensive device with a discount for signing a contract (or get a payment plan on the said device) or we go for the free phone with the contract. It’s basically the G7 but with a spec bump (and price bump).

*Let me apologize for the weird black background on the following images. Seems when you grab them from the Brazilian site (since it’s not launching in the US, US PR didn’t send it to me) that happens.

*Also, excuse the wording for the spec sheet below. Motorola didn’t send me the specs for the Plus since it isn’t in the US so had to Google translate them from the Brazilian site.

Conclusion
There you go. What do you guys think of the new phones and does anyone else agree that Motorola’s low to mid-tier devices are cooler than their high-end ones or is that just me?
