Gingerbread ROM for the Verizon Thunderbolt breaks out among others
HTC had promised a Gingerbread update for Verizon’s 4G-boasting Thunderbolt before the end of June, but it seems that Christmas does sometimes come early and we now have an Android 2.3 update, specifically designed for the device out on the loose. Even though the leaked ROM is a test build, it is fully functional sans carrier customization, and you could stick with this if you don’t like the bloatware that is sometimes added on before the release. Droid-Life got a chance to test it and the update indeed seems to be 2.3.4, so there might be video chatting snuck in somewhere. Go ahead and flash it and if you are unsure about the whole deal yet, watch the video above to get a glimpse of what you will end up with.
Also leaked are ROMs for the HTC Lead and Holiday, which are purported to be the first ever LTE phones devised for AT&T, but this is still in the rumor stage and yet to be confirmed.
