Gingerbread-toting Huawei Glory on its way to Cricket Wireless
This news should definitely get some Cricket Wireless customers happy, who have had to make do with low to mid-range devices until now. The Huawei Glory (or the Huawei M886 if you prefer numbers to fancy names) features a pretty fast 1.4GHz processor and although whether this is dual cored or not is debatable, this would still be the fastest processor we have seen from Huawei and in turn, the fastest Android phone than usual Cricket users have seen lately.
Other features include a 4-inch WVGA multitouch display, an 8MP camera, WiFi, GPS, 2GB of onboard storage, and a hefty 1900 mAh battery to juice it all. The whole show will be run by Gingerbread 2.3.3 initially on release but this will be taken over by Ice Cream Sandwich when that is made available.
The Glory will supposed be available for $300 on Cricket Wireless but as to when, we don’t have anything on that end yet. We could presume that the device will eventually find its way to the shelves of other carriers but this one time, let’s have Cricket the “glory” of snagging a high-end phone first, shall we?
