Gingerbread Update Coming August 1st For Kyocera Echo Users
August 1st may just mean the rent is due for the rest of us, but Kyocera Echo users can look forward to finally receiving the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) update they’ve been waiting for.
Update 2.002SP is slated to roll out next Monday and finally move the device from Android 2.2 (Froyo) to the latest build. The update will bring with it some Gingerbread goodies including SWYPE, security patches, improved hardware performance, and a more responsive user interface.
Sprint in their usual fashion plans to roll out the update over a four day period.
