Gmail For Android Version 4.2.1 Available For All Android 4.0+ Devices, Brings Pinch-to-Zoom And Swipe-to-Delete/Archive
The latest version of Gmail for Android is now available for Android users sporting device running on 4.0 (ICS) or higher. Gmail 4.2.1 offers up a significantly enhanced user experience that is now considered to be on the same level, if not better than the iOS or Symbian mobile email client.
Users will now be able to take advantage of the pinch-to-zoom feature in addition to the automatic re-sizing of emails to fit the device’s screen. Also another highly requested feature which is highlighted in version 4.2.1 is the swipe to delete/archive feature that is available in the mail list view. Additional feature highlights include:
- Ability to attach photos and videos directly from within the email client
- Larger photo previews and gallery view for photo attachments
- Bug fixes and overall performance improvements
