Google Shopper 2.0 App For Android Adds New Services For Local Shopping
Today Google released new improvements to their Google Shopper 2.0 App for Android devices. The enhancements include additional tabs for a more personalized shopping experience along with an improved layout. Google moved the “starred” and “history” buttons to the top for easier navigation in addition to adding three new tabs to the bottom of the screen.
The new tabs allow the user to gain access to local shopping offers while utilizing Google’s additional shopping features. The “Today’s Offer” tab essentially provides a single discounted item or service provided by a retailer nearby. The “Nearby Offers” tab displays discounts for food and entertainment as submitted through Google places, while the “My Offers” tab provides user ability to store and redeem offers at a future time.
Good news for San Francisco and New York shoppers as Google is now testing its local shopping “Offers” to these metropolitan areas. “Offers” is a time sensitive daily deal similar to Groupon or Living Social that will soon be expanding to Austin, Boston, Denver, Seattle, and Washington, D.C.
Whatever the reason these printable coupons or “Printapon” exist and it is valid to use them, although it can skew the marketing research for which they were intended.
