Honeycomb 3.0 Unlock Feature App On Any Android
The Honeycomb unlock feature is pretty slick, so we were thrilled to find an app that allows you to have it regardless of what Android device your on. All you have to do is snag the free “Ripple Lock” app from the Android Market, download, and enable it. If you ever want to return back to your old unlock screen simply disable the app. Developer SunPengfei is working on enhancing the app for a “more colorful lock screen” in the future.
There are a few things worth mentioning about the app. There is an advertisement at the top of the lock screen. By clicking on the ads enough times in the settings you can remove it by earning “points”. Once you reach 100 points the ads go away. In addition, the lock screen sometimes has a delay. You end up having to press the lock button to unlock the phone and you see your homescreen for a second. Then the lock screen shows up for you to swipe and unlock it.
Overall, it gets our badge of coolness and is worth looking into.
