How to back up Android application APKs using File Expert
File Expert is a great application and bundles a lot of utilities that you would normally need when using your droid on a daily basis. One of these is the ability to back up applications – something you might need to do if you are moving to a different ROM and want to back up a specific version of an application that you liked. Read on to know how to do this exactly.
I. Before You Begin
Install File Expert from the Android Market. You can do it here or from the Market app on your device.
II. Backing up Applications
Now for the easy part.
1. Once installed, launch File Expert and select My Apps.
2. Select all the apps that you want to back up by ticking the boxes next to them.
3. Once you have done selecting the apps you want to back up, select Backup. Sit back and let File Expert do its thing.
4. After that is done, you will be able to find all the apps you backed up in the folder “backup_apps” on your SD card.
You should now be able to save these files in a safe place on your PC for future use or leave them on your SD card for easier, on-the-go installation when needed.
