How to Bring Useful Information to the Lockscreen in iOS 7 (Video)
The lockscreen in iOS 7 isn’t the most useful if we’re honest. Thanks to jailbreaking developers though there are a few good options for replacing said boring lockscreen with something with a bit more usefulness. One of the best ones out there happens to be named LockInfo7. This tweak, costing $4.99 from the Cydia store, allows you to bring all sorts of info including emails, messages, weather, calendar events, and more. You can even try it out for 30 days free.
Here’s how to install it and set it up.
I. Jailbreak your iPhone/iPad
1. To do this procedure you must be jailbroken. If you aren’t, you can head to our How to Jailbreak iOS 7.1.2 (the latest version at the time of writing this). Once done with that procedure and you have Cydia installed, head back here to continue.
II. Install LockInfo7
1. Open Cydia.
2. Tap Search in the bottom right corner.
3. Type in LockInfo7.
4. Tap on LockInfo7 when it shows up.
5. Tap Purchase at the top right and follow the prompts to login and purchase using your preferred method.
6. Tap Close when you’ve paid.
7. Tap Install where Purchase used to be.
8. Tap Restart.
III. Use LockInfo7
1. Register LockInfo7 and click on the trial when prompted.
2. Go to Settings > LockInfo7 and adjust the settings there to your liking.
3. After you have set it up, the normal lock screen will simply be replaced automatically by LockInfo7 and the options you chose.
