How to Change the SIM Card on the Motorola Droid Turbo
Oh where, oh where has my sim card tray gone? Turns out it’s hidden within the volume button! The Droid Turbo is a phone that, though heavy- due to it’s enormous battery, has a great look and feel to it; and the hidden sim card tray certainly contributes to the sleekness of the design. Another bonus is that, unlike the iphone, you don’t need to use a special tool to open the tray. Because, let’s face it, none of us hold onto the special tool and keep it in a safe and easy to access location, like we’re supposed to. No, we end up rummaging through our junk drawers in search of a paper clip, or safety pin, or earring post to fashion our own special tool- Macgyver-style. And as cool as Macgyver is (was?), ain’t nobody got time for that. So thanks, Droid Turbo, for making your sim card tray an overall success. Check out the simple steps below to help you locate and open your sim card tray.
1. Turn off your phone (this is important, you can hurt your phone if you take the sim card out while it’s on, or that’s what they tell me).
2. Pull out the volume button on the side (I slid my nail underneath it and pulled gently).
3. Remove Tray.
4. FYI: there’s a tiny white square with a black triangle on the side of the tray that should be inserted facing up.
And now for the important question- what are you gonna do with all those extra paper clips and safety pins?
