How to Create an Invoice on Your iPhone
I had yet to even open, let alone explore, the iOS Pages, Keynotes and Numbers apps, when one day while on the train, I got an email requesting an invoice ASAP. As I was going to be away from my computer for the rest of the day, but do enjoy being paid, I wasn’t quite sure what to do. Then suddenly, it occurred to me to check out my Numbers app and see if it could help. Boy, could it ever! I was able to quickly and easily create a sleek looking invoice and send it off, all in the span of about 10 minutes, while sitting on the subway. I feel the need to also point out (ok, boast), that this was the NYC subway (complete with your typical old lady pushing through everyone with cart full of groceries, creepy guy sitting a little to close for comfort, and tourists falling all over the place every time the train jerks to a stop) and I should, therefore, receive extra points for being at all productive under the circumstance. Plus, it goes to show just how easy this app is to use. Check out the steps below to learn how to create and send an invoice.
Create an Invoice
1. Open Numbers.
2. Tap “Create New.”
3. Under the business section, tap “Invoice.”
4. Tap any of the template’s fields to edit them, imputing your own info.
5. Tap the paintbrush icon on the top bar to open an editing panel. Here you can change things like fonts, colors and margins.
6. Tap the plus symbol on the top bar to add charts, graphs or photos.
There are many editing options with the Numbers app, play around with them to create the fanciest invoice of all time. Then, once you’re finished, check out the steps below to learn how to send it.
Send an Invoice
