    1. It’s on line 10. Still doesn’t seem to work on vzw S3 for me either even though I’ve had it set for a while now. Several apps always request wifi if there’s a signal in range.

Did you save the file after modifying the values? After modifying the file, just do a reboot and it should work fine.

    2. Look for wifi_offload_network_notify (record 101) in the system db as well and set it to 0. I’m reading on XDA that this may be necessary as well as using anycut instead of some of these other apps. Going to give this a try before trying the anycut method.

  1. Shame on Verizon for making such an annoying feature. I can’t wait to load custom ROM to not have to see that stupid notification all the time, it’s too intrusive. IF i want WIFI, i will enable it when i feel like it.

That’s why an annoyed user has found out this way to disable the WiFi notification. If you follow the above procedure, you won’t need to move to any other ROM to get rid of that pesky WiFi notification.

  2. A much easier way that worked for me is to dial ” *#6335623# “. A menu will appear. Select Disable WifiOffloading. Simple as that.

      1. The above method does work, therefore we’ve it on our site. As @c4d92eb975804ef677366337c3756cdb:disqus says that that number method worked for him, it doesn’t mean it works for all the users out there.

The above procedure works greatly and even Droid-Life has it on their site.

  3. I keep getting this annoying GPS tracker app that pops in and asks me to get this app. Is this the same thing or do I have to do something different to get this to stop? BTW I found your site to be extremely helpful, any advice you can give me would be appreciated.
