How to Flash a Custom Recovery on the Acer Iconia Tab A700

We recently posted a guide on how to root the Acer A700 and now here comes a custom recovery for our beloved device. Flashing a custom recovery on your A700 will not just let you backup your current firmware, but will enable you to install new firmwares, mods, and all sorts of flashable content. Getting the recovery installed on the device is a piece of cake, here’s how you can do that:

I. Before You Begin:

1. You must have rooted your device before doing this procedure. Our How to Root the Acer Iconia Tab A700 should help you do that.

2. This will replace your current recovery with the CWM Recovery.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. ROM ManagerQR Code (Google Play Link)

III. Flashing a Custom Recovery on the Acer Iconia Tab A700:

1. Start off by downloading and installing the ROM Manager app on your device.

2. Once installed, launch it from your App Drawer.

3. Hit the first option that says Flash ClockworkMod Recovery.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

5. And you should be done!

Awesome! You’ve successfully flashed CWM Recovery on your Acer A700, and you can now flash your favorite ROMs on your device!
