How to Flash a Custom Recovery on the Huawei Honor 2
So you just rooted your Huawei Honor 2 and now want to flash a custom recovery on it? No problem, here’s how you can do that. A custom recovery allows users to flash custom ROMs, Mods and all sorts of flashable content. Here’s how:
I. Before You Begin:
1. You must have rooted your device before doing this procedure. Please head to our How to Root the Huawei Honor 2 procedure first, finish it, then return to this procedure and continue.
2. This procedure works on Windows based PCs only.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Recovery Ascend Honor 2 (Download link’s given in the first post)
III. Flashing a Custom Recovery on the Huawei Honor 2:
1. Place the Recovery executable file on your Desktop.
2. Turn OFF your device.
3. Turn it back on by holding down Volume DOWN+Power buttons together.
4. Plug in your device to your PC via USB cable.
5. Double-click on the Recovery executable file and it’ll launch.
6. Type in 1 and hit Enter.
7. It’ll flash the recovery on your device, should take a couple of minutes to finish.
8. Once the recovery’s been flashed, reboot your device.
9. You’re done!
Brilliant! Your device has been successfully equipped with a custom recovery. Now go ahead and flash whatever you want on your device!
