How to Get Google Play on the Huawei Honor 2

Google Play is one of those places from where you can get apps for your Android device. Unfortunately, Huawei Honor 2 doesn’t come with Google Play pre-installed and thus users are required to install it manually. The guide below shows exactly how you can get Google Play up and running on your Huawei Honor 2 smartphone. Let’s get started:

I. Before You Begin:

1. You must have rooted your device before doing this procedure. Check out our Root Guide to root your device.

2. You must have a custom recovery installed on your device. Check out our guide on how to flash a custom recovery on the Huawei Honor 2 smartphone.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. GApps (Download link’s given in the first post)

III. Getting Google Play on the Huawei Honor 2:

1. Place the GApps archive on your Desktop.

2. Plug in your device to your PC via USB cable.

3. Copy the GApps archive over to the root of your SD card.

4. Once it’s been copied, unplug your device from your PC.

5. Turn OFF your device.

6. Turn it back on by holding down Volume UP+Power buttons together.

7. You should now be in the custom recovery mode.

8. Select Second option followed by First option.

9. Navigate to the directory where you copied the GApps file and choose it for flashing.

10. It’ll start flashing the file on your device.

11. Once the flashing’s done, reboot your device.

12. You’re all set!

Voila! You now have Google Play installed on your Honor 2 smartphone! Check it out to find new apps available for your device!

      The device doesn’t come with Google Play preinstalled, so this guide helps how you can get it on your device.

      1. I bought this device completely new and it had Google Play in it so what you’re saying is not true.
        Anyway… rooting should not make any apps or GP to disappear on this device, right ?
