How to Flash a Custom Recovery on the Motorola Defy Mini XT320
Now that you are rooted, the next obvious step if you plan on installing custom ROMs on your Defy Mini is to install a custom recovery. In the Defy Mini’s case, we will be flashing TWRP Recovery which is touch based and easier to use. The guide below should take care of this step, so read on if this is what you want.
I. Before You Begin
1. Back up everything you care about on your device and charge it to 75% or more before you begin to avoid unwanted shutdowns during the procedure.
2. You need to be rooted for this procedure to work and if you aren’t already so, use our guide to help you in this regard.

III. Installing TWRP Recovery
1. Enable USB Debugging on your device. To do this, go to Settings > Applications > Development Options and tick the USB Debugging checkbox.
2. Connect your device to your PC using a compatible microUSB cable.
3. Double-click on the DefyMiniUtility.exe to run the tool.
4. Type in 2 and hit the Enter key on your keyboard to start the flashing process.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions and select TWRP Recovery when given a choice between 2nd-init and TWRP.
Once it reboots, your device should have TWRP Recovery installed! To access recovery, press the Volume Up + Volume Down and Power buttons for 5 to 10 seconds.

Yeah, there’s also an option I made is to use CWM Recovery. Everyone prefers CWM.
