How to Install Walkman App on your Xperia ICS Smartphone

The Walkman app is a popular music application for Android devices. The port of the same is now available for the 2011 Xperia Lineup smartphones, including Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Active and Ray. If you own one of these smartphones and want to check out how Walkman app works on it, head on to the following guide to see how you can install the app on your smartphone.

I. Before You Begin:

1. The app works on Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Active and Ray only.

2. You must be running on the Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

3. You must have rooted your smartphone before doing this procedure. Please head to our Android How Tos section to find out the rooting procedure for your smartphone.

4. You must have ClockworkMod Recovery installed on your smartphone. You can see our ClockworkMod Recovery archive to find the flashing process for your smartphone.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Download the Flashable Walkman App file from here. (Download link is in the first post)

III. Installing Walkman App on your Xperia ICS Smartphone:

1. Download and place the Walkman app on your Desktop.

2. Connect your phone to your PC using the USB cable.

3. Move the Walkman App from your PC to the root folder of your phone’s SD card.

4. Disconnect your phone from the PC after you have moved the file.

5. Turn OFF your smartphone.

6. Reboot your smartphone into the ClockworkMod Recovery. See the ClockworkMod Recovery Installation procedure to find out the key combination to get into the recovery

7. Once you are inside the recovery, choose install zip from sdcard followed by choose zip from sdcard.

8. Navigate to the Walkman App file you moved earlier to your phone and select it for flashing. It will take a while to install the file.

9. As soon as the flashing process completes, choose reboot system now from the recovery menu.

You did it ! You will see the Walkman app installed on your smartphone when it boots up. Now, enjoy the high quality music on your Xperia smartphone
