How to Manage Contacts on Android Phone
Android phone has the capability to have an expansive address list that can involve everyone you follow on twitter to everyone you are friends with on facebook. While it can be useful to have hundreds of contacts at your fingertips, particularly if you are a business user, it is equally useful to have the people you contact most organized and available. Android has a great platform for organizing and managing contacts, and this tutorial will show you how to add contacts from social networking sites, select and manage important contacts so they are at your fingertips.
Add Contacts from Social Networking Sites
1. Select “phone”
2. Select “settings”
3. Select “accounts”
4. In this area, you will view the accounts that you have on your phone, which will likely include your e-mail, as well as Facebook and Twitter, if you have these connected to your phone.
5. Select an account whose contacts you would like to sync with your phone.
6. An option will appear offering to “Sync account.” For example, if I want to sync my twitter contacts to my phone, it will say “Sync Twitter.” If you want to sync contacts from this account, check the box to the right of the text.
7. New contacts will appear in your “contacts”
Select and Manage Important Contacts
1. Go to “Phone”
2. Go to “Contacts”
3. Select the icon with two heads.
4. This will bring you to an area where you can create groups. Select “settings.”
5. Select “new group”
6. Give your new group a name.
7. Select the contacts that you would like to include in the group.
8. Select “done” once you have chosen all contacts. A new menu will be displayed showing the contacts in this new group.
9. To use this group in the future, you will need to select “phone” and then click on the two heads icon to bring up your “groups”
10. Select the “group” you created and your contacts will be narrowed down.

There is no “icon with two heads” in “contacts.” Perhaps you have a different version of the Android than mine.
