How to Overclock the ZTE Blade 2
Overclocking is for those users who aren’t satisfied with the current performance of their device as this process lets users overclock their CPU to run at a faster rate and thus increases the overall performance of the device. If you’re interested in overclocking your ZTE Blade 2 smartphone, follow the guide below and you’ll be done in no time.
I. Before You Begin:
1. You must have rooted your device before doing this procedure. Please head to our How to Root the ZTE Blade 2 procedure first and root your device.
2. You must have CWM Recovery installed on your device. If you followed our root guide above, you have it already.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Overclock Kernel (Download link’s available in the first post)
III. Overclocking the ZTE Blade 2:
1. Download and place the Overclock Kernel onto your Desktop.
2. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.
3. Copy the Kernel over to the root of your SD card.
4. Once it’s been copied, disconnect your device from your PC.
5. Now head over to Google Play and download and install the Quick Boot app on your device.
6. Once the app has been installed, launch it from your App Drawer.
7. Hit Recovery option in the app and your device will reboot into the CWM Recovery mode.
8. From the Recovery menu, select install zip from sdcard followed by choose zip from sdcard.
9. Choose the Kernel zip to be flashed on your device.
10. Now sit back and relax and let the recovery do its thing.
11. Once the Kernel has been flashed, reboot your device.
12. And you’re all set!
Awesome! You’ve successfully flashed the overclock kernel on your Blade 2 smartphone. Now go ahead and install the SetCPU app to modify the CPU clock!
