How to Remove Bloatware from Xperia Mini and Mini Pro

If you have been using an Xperia Mini or Mini Pro smartphone for some time, you would have noticed the apps that come preloaded on the stock ROM. Some of the users think these apps (Bloatware) aren’t useful to them and so they want to get rid of them. For those users, here’s a quick guide explaining how they can remove bloatware from their Xperia Mini or Mini Pro smartphone.

I. Before You Begin:

1. You must have rooted your Xperia Mini or Mini Pro smartphone before doing this procedure. Please head to our how to root Xperia Mini procedure first, finish it, then return to this procedure and continue.

2. You must have ClockworkMod Recovery installed on your phone. Please follow our how to install CWM Recovery on Xperia Mini guide to get it installed on your phone.

3. You must have ADB installed on your PC. You can see our ADB Setup Guide for the installation steps.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Download the Auto Bloatware Remover Tool from here.

III. Removing Bloatware from Xperia Mini and Mini Pro:

1. Download and put the Bloatware Remover Tool on your Desktop.

2. Extract files from the Tool archive and place them on the Desktop. Do NOT touch any files.

3. Go to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging on your phone and enable USB debugging.

4. Connect your phone to your PC with the help of the USB cable.

5. Launch the Tool by double-clicking on Bloatware remover for xperia.exe file.

6. Follow the on-screen instructions.

7. Reboot your smartphone.
