How to Remove Stock T-Mobile Apps from Your Rooted Samsung Exhibit II 4G
If you are like me, you’ll definitely hate carriers or manufacturers messing with your device’s OS – be it a custom user interface or in some carriers’ cases, extra apps that you rarely seem to use. T-Mobile is known to add apps like this and if you own a Samsung Exhibit II 4G from this provider, you might want to continue reading to rid yourself of them and free up some space for apps that you’ll actually use!
I. Before You Begin
1. Your device should be rooted. You can follow our how-to on how to do this before proceeding with this guide.
2. While deleting the unwanted apps is a straightforward solution, a better way would be to save them somewhere on your PC for later use, just in case.
II. Installing Root Uninstaller
You can install Root Uninstaller either by searching for it on the Play app on your device or by heading over to the desktop version of Play on your computer.
III. Deleting the Applications
1. Open Root Uninstaller
2. If you are prompted to grant Superuser access at this point to Root Uninstaller, select ‘Allow’. If you are not prompted to do so, this means that you haven’t rooted your phone; you can still use Root Uninstaller to remove non-system apps that you have installed.
3. Once Root Uninstaller is granted Superuser permissions, you should see your usual apps and some apps that marked red. These are the system apps, which you can delete if you really want to.
4. Tick the box next to the app that you want to uninstall and then click ‘Uninstall Selected Apps‘.
This should remove the unnecessary apps permanently from your device but if you want to save these apps for future use, you could use a tool like the Super aToolbox and save them somewhere safe.
