How to Root the Kyocera Zio
Older Android devices such as Kyocera Zio seems to have been forgotten by the world, but the developers haven’t forgotten it and they’ve now come up with a root method for the device. This will definitely excite the users of the said device as they can now install hundreds of root-only apps available out there on their device. And if you’re ready, read on to learn how you can root your Kyocera Zio device.
I. Before You Begin:
1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.
2. Make sure your device has at least 50% of battery life left.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. z4Root APK (It’s attached in the first post)
III. Rooting the Kyocera Zio:
1. Place the z4Root APK file on your Desktop.
2. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.
3. Copy the APK file over to the root of your SD card.
4. Once the file’s been copied, unplug your device from your PC.
5. On your device, head to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development and enable the USB debugging option.
6. Enable the Unknown sources option as well by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Unknown sources.
7. Open the File Manager app on your device and install the APK you copied earlier to your device.
8. Once the app’s been installed, launch it from your App Drawer.
9. Hit Permanent Root button in the app and it’ll root your device.
10. You should be rooted now!
Brilliant! You’ve successfully rooted your Kyocera Zio device and now go ahead and install some useful root-only apps on it!
